EPIP is a registered charitable trust (CC59037) set up as a collaboration between Hugh Green Foundation, Perpetual Guardian, The Springboard Trust and The Southern Initiative focused on bridging the gaps between innovative education practices and partners who can provide support.

EPIP is a place and space where organisations share, learn and co-create innovative solutions for education equity.  Evaluation and collaboration are at the centre of our work, measuring the impact of projects as well as learning more about how transformation works in practice and how it contributes towards system change.

We promote and nurture the co-production of innovation solutions by working alongside communities to reach solutions that work best for them. We do this in respectful and collaborative ways, acknowledging our shared values and behaviours based on the following te ao Māori principles:

  • Rangatiratanga: Supporting autonomy and the right of Māori to be self-determining

  • Whanaungatanga: Engaging in positive and collaborative relationships with learners, their families and whānau, colleagues and the wider community

  • Manaakitanga: Creating a welcoming, caring and creative learning environment that treats everyone with respect and dignity

  • Pono: Showing integrity by acting in ways that are fair, honest, ethical and just

  • Whakamana: Supporting all learners to reach their highest potential by providing high-quality teaching and leadership
